Hayter Condor with Flail Mower Attachment
We have owned this beast for the last 8/9 years and used it regularly to cut a rough paddock. After a while we realised there werent any other flails around. Which is when we contacted Hayter for information on the mower. As it turns out it is a very rare machine, the flail attachment is one of only forty five ever built by Hayter between 1989 & 1991. And they were only built to order.
We believe this number 23. Alas we now no longer have a use for it or the time to put to it. It is by no means a basket case and is ready to work. It is just looking a bit scruffy.
The Flail is a 30 wide cut. It goes through anything we asked of it, rushes, brambles, weeds, saplings etc. Honda 11hp engine which starts easily and runs really well. The hydrostatic transmission is brilliant. Pulls like a train forwards or backwards.
Very strong reliable capable machine, and would make a great project to bring back to showroom condition. It does come with some spare belts.
The small front tyres are not the original. They were perished and replaced with these solid spongy things. They are not the best but got us out of trouble.
The handbrake cable isnt there and wasnt when we got it. The plastic belt cover alongside the engine is missing. The plastic cover on the flail is present and needs repair.Viewing more than welcome by arrangement. There is a walk around video of it running on youtube.
