Hayter ride on lawn mower

Hayter ride on lawn mower. With a 28 inch cut.

Fitted with a 256cc 4 stroke Villiers mk25 HS engine mated to an Albion 3 speed gearbox with kick start. It is a powerful engine and Ive never tried it in third gear as I expect it would travel at 15 mph in that gear. This mower is not suited to back gardens or tall grass, it was designed for bowling greens, cricket pitches and tennis courts or very large square flat lawns of the type found in stately homes. It is a good starter and runs and cuts well as can be seen from last photo...

But I have difficulty turning it at the ends of my lawn so would prefer a smaller atco roller mower... Of course its a piece of british history and worth preserving...
